Fish Antibiotic Aqua Cipro Ciprofloxacin is a fish antibiotic with a wide range of activity against gram-negative and some gram-positive fish pathogens. It may be used to apply to common bacterial diseases in fish, such as black patch necrosis, saddleback disease, and fin rot, caused by columnaris. This fish antibiotic targets enzymes that are needed for bacteria to copy themselves and for DNA to be fixed. It may be able to remove pathogens that don't respond to other antibiotics.
Directions:
- Before adding to a hospital tank, dissolve one tablet (500 mg) per gallon of water in a small amount of water first. Immerse for an hour.
- After each application, change the water every day for 3–7 days.
- When the pH is above 6.9, its activity goes down. Depending on the effective concentration at the target site, it can stop bacteria from growing or remove them.
Caution: Only for ornamental fish and fish in tanks. Store in a secure location away from children and pets. Keep container closed in a cool and dry place.
