Fugue from Prelude and Fugue in G minor (BWV 542)
by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)
for String Quintet or Orchestra
Transcribed and Arranged by Ronald C. Dishinger
Published by Medici Music Press
This intermediate level arrangement by Ronald Dishinger of J.S. Bach's Fugue from BWV 542, is transposed into E minor, and useful for String Quintet, String Sextet, or String Orchesta. It includes one part for violin 1, violin 2, viola 1, and viola 2, two copies of a part for cello and/or bass, as well as the bound score booklet. The complexity of the music without much advanced technique makes this arrangement great for intermediate student recitals or solo and ensemble competitions. (See item 5622 166 for the String Orchestra version with additional copies of each part)
Difficulty: A3 (Intermediate)
