BIBS Colour Pacifier is a classic round pacifier with a timeless design. They are designed and made in Denmark.
BIBS has been on the market for over 30 years – with great success! BIBS Colour is the favourite pacifier for many children. The shape of both the shield and nipple is like a mother’s breast, and will therefore better support natural breastfeeding for the child. The nipple is equipped with a vent hole, letting out the air to make the teat shape naturally like the breast. The nipple is made of 100% natural rubber latex – which is soft and flexible. The rubber is a natural material – colour variations may occur. The shield is convex which allows airflow to ventilate the delicate skin. The shield is made of polypropylene (PP), a very light plastic material with a high strength and is highly wear-resistant.
BIBS Colour NIGHT GLOW has the same high quality as the original BIBS pacifiers but has a practical glow feature.
The glow feature makes it easy for both parents and little ones to find the pacifiers in the dark and accommodates the frustration it can cause for parents to stand in the middle of the night - in total darkness - looking for the pacifier with a crying child.
Simply hold the pacifier up to a lamp for 5-10 sec. to activate the effect. The luminescent effect lasts for 8+ hours.
Size Guide
All sizes can be introduced from birth. Age and size indications are therefore only a guide. But since most newborns prefer a smaller size, BIBS has made the following recommendations:
- Onesize: 0+ months
- Size 1: 0+ months
- Size 2: 6+ months
- Size 3: 18+ months
Before first use
Remember to sterilize the pacifiers when you take them out of the packaging! This is done by putting the pacifiers in plenty of boiling water for 5 minutes. This applies to both latex and silicone pacifiers.
Natural rubber latex can smear off to the shield in rare cases, so it is important to sterilize in plenty of water and we recommend sterilizing latex pacifiers separately. This only applies before first use.
Natural rubber latex pacifiers should be scalded rather than boiled and replaced every 4-6 weeks for safety and hygienic reasons.
Sterilization by scolding
This is the method we recommend for cleaning both latex and silicone pacifiers subsequently:
- Put the pacifiers in a clean bowl. Pour boiling water over the pacifiers.
- Let the pacifiers soak for approx. 5 min.
- Pick them up and let them dry on a clean towel.
This method is gentle, but still gets rid of bacteria without compromising the durability of the pacifier. We only recommend boiling the pacifiers before the first use - not subsequent cleaning. Pacifiers are not meant to be boiled repeatedly and can be destroyed by continual exposure to high heat. Instead, follow the instructions above.
