Capricorn Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is considered to be the highest-quality PTFE hose in all of 3D printing. The narrow tolerances ensure that the filament is guided between the extruder and hotend, directly to the hotend with a minimum of accuracy.
The PTFE XS series of Capricorn is designed for resistance to the highest temperatures on the market and is perfect for printing of exotic filaments such as ABS, nylon and polycarbonate. With Standard PTFE hoses may result in a dangerous “leaking”, when the hotend is heated to temperatures above 240 °C and may deteriorate at higher temperatures. This Capricorn XS series is designed for use in 3D prints thanks to its proprietary manufacturing methods.
Upgraded pneumatic connectors with metal teeth are included in this package work much better than the standard options offered by many cheap 3D printer manufacturers with plastic teeth or cheap locking mechanisms. The extruder connectors are PC4-M6 and the hotend connectors are PC4-M10.
