Don't those big, fat, elongated glossy Bulls Horn red peppers look dangerously hot? But they aren't! This Italian heirloom variety is just the thing for slicing onto pizza or into salads and stir fries, and the chunky fruits are ideal for stuffing. Unlike chilli peppers, the flavour doesn't become hotter as the fruits ripen. Instead, it gets sweeter: looks great and tastes even better! Given hot enough conditions, the plants will get pretty big - but growing them in pots remains an option.
