Howlite ”The stone of tranquillity" is the stone of calm and tranquillity. It can be used to calm the troubled or overactive mind. It is said to help reduce stress and induces peaceful sleep at night. It is said to help control rage and other negative impulses. This stone helps to clarify one's mind and to become aware of one's goals and ambitions. It can help to expand the horizons and to open the mind to wisdom and new knowledge.
The string is double knotted by hand in between each and every bead, so should the anklet/bracelet/necklace break (which it should if necessary), the rest of the beads will not scatter.
The string is also double knotted before each clasp fastening so no beads should come off.
They are fastened with a plastic screw barrel clasp that is designed to break if pulled. It also opens and closes easily.
Each bead is rounded so that they lay comfortably against the child's skin. This allows maximum contact and gives added comfort to you and your child.
*Howlite is coloured (naturally white). This is to improve its aesthetic appearance in jewellery making. While every care is taken to remove the excess colour before beading, although rare, some colour transfer may occur in hot or sweaty conditions. Please remove and soak in very warm water for 20 mins and air dry if this occurs.
