This mountain dulcimer chord chart is written specifically for a chromatic three string (tuned DAD) mountain dulcimer. Our chart includes 72 of the most commonly used chords - six "A" chords (A major, A minor, A diminished, A augmented, A6, and A7), plus six each for each of the other scale degrees (A#, B, C, C#, etc.).
And that's only the FRONT of this two-page, laminated chord chart. The back tells you the actual notes used to create the chords. Examples: A Major = A, C#, E and F7 = F, A, C, E flat. The back also includes a handy diagram that shows the first 13 frets, with the notes created on each string, at each fret.
If you want to play ANY of the dulcimer chords, having a chromatic instrument helps, and having our chromatic chord chart helps a LOT. Enjoy!
