Description
Banana Lilies are easy fish tank plants to keep and can handle low light. The "Bananas" are actually roots, storage centres for the plant. This makes this plant ideal for a beginner or kids aquarium! They won't kill it and get to show off the "bananas" in their tank.
Nymphoides aquatica is also often known as the banana plant, banana lily, and the big floating heart. The "Nymph" part of its name signifies it's "Lily" type leaf shape.
If you like this plant make sure and check out our Red Tiger Lotus as it is equally easy to take care of and has beautiful red leaves. The two in the same tank would make a nice contrast.
