Corn - Maize Manning Pride – 20 seeds
NOT to WA, TAS & NT
Open-Pollinated Seeds, Grown in Australia.
Manning Pride Maize is a rare heirloom variety that originated in the Manning Valley through the selective breeding of Manning White. It features large cobs measuring up to 20cm long, adorned with abundant golden kernels. These cobs can be enjoyed fresh or dried for animal feed. Despite its categorization as a maize, Manning Pride exhibits exceptional qualities as a "sweet corn" when harvested young, boasting a pleasantly sweet and creamy texture.
Traditionally, Manning Pride was primarily cultivated as a stock feed, necessitating a later harvest of the cobs and further drying for storage. As required, the seeds would be cracked and utilised as animal feed.
