Cryptocoryne plants are extremely easy to grow, medium growth rate plants. Cryptocoryne Pink Flamingo plants, like all plants, grow best with fertilizer and lighting around 6500k. This plant can be grown without co2, fertilizer is recommended. Propagation is easy for cryptocoryne pink flamingos, it involves removing a small portion of the root with some stem/leaves attached. The removed portion can then be planted in the substrate, and will slowly develop into a new plant. Pink flamingo's color up best with strong lighting and co2 but will still be relatively pink even when co2 is not present. Bright lights help yield the best coloration in these plants. They can get a light brown color if there is not a lot of light present. Plants are like people, we get tan and change color when we are exposed to more sunlight outside.
Cryptocoryne plants are heavy root feeders so the best way to provide nutrients to them is with root tabs. You can place a root tab directly beneath the plant and the roots will soak up nutrients from the root tablet. Checkout our root tabs by clicking Here, your plants will thank you!
