Helping young disciples become students of the Bible!
Every day, kids read one portion from the Torah and one from the Gospels—a total of 10 books in one year (including Acts)! Perfect for beginning Bible-readers to systematically study the Word, while also discovering its Jewish context and calendar.
Young disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) need to study the Scriptures in a disciplined way. That's why we're excited to introduce “Daily Bread for Kids: A Messianic One-Year Bible Reading Journal for Children.”
The Bible is God's Word. The whole Bible has also come to us through the Jewish people. It makes good sense to read it from a Jewish point of view, and “Daily Bread for Kids” is a great way to start.
Readers follow the same Torah portions that all Israel studies each week. They will also read through the four Gospels and Acts. While reading the Bible, kids follow along with the Bible's own calendar! Along the way, they will discover more about the biblical festivals and exciting facts about what has happened in Israel's history on different days.
Rich in features and detail, Daily Bread for Kids helps young disciples of Messiah become disciplined students of the Bible.
START/END DATES
This year's journal is for the Hebrew calendar year of 5785. The reading plan is intended to start at Simchat Torah and continue through until Simchat Torah of the following year (October 20, 2024 through October 15, 2025).
SUITABLE FOR
Suitable for approximate ages 8–12. It is also a great read-aloud plan for parents to do with the whole family, since it is not too long. The daily readings are generally 30-40 verses a day (with exceptions).
