The Orinoco Angel Pleco is an absolute stunner and will be the highlight of any aquarium. Found in the Orinoco river, it is known to be nocturnal, and when kept in the aquarium, they require plenty of hiding places to accommodate this. Due to their smaller size, they go well in a planted aquarium. They are exceptionally suited to peaceful community aquariums and are considered very peaceful.
The Orinoco Angel Pleco is a carnivore and will readily accept frozen meaty foods with the occasional live foods provided shortly after the lights are switched off in the evening. Additionally, a regular offering of spirulina algae will provide them with everything they need to thrive.
Much like other Pleco species, the Orinoco Angel will spawn in caves. Conditioning male and female pleco with lots of live foods and waiting until the female decides on a cave to spawn inside.
All our fish are quarantined on arrival for two weeks. During this time, we treat for any health issues that may occur during transport and ensure each fish is eating well and looking healthy. All fish are treated with Flubendazole before finally going on sale.
