Mullein Greek – 25 Seeds
The biennial herb plant, endemic to Greece, typically grows up to 180cm. It has two growth phases; during the first year, it forms a large rosette of sharp leaves. It will have grown an impressive flowering candelabrum by the spring or summer of the second year.
Beekeepers and gardeners adore this species for its flower production capabilities and ability to generate large amounts of nectar. Traditional usage includes ear oil and lymphatic stimulant.
This plant prefers undisturbed soil but will also grow in gravel, clay, or loam. It likes full sun and requires only moderate water. These seeds are light-dependent germinators, which means they need light to grow. To plant them, sprinkle the seeds on the soil surface and tamp them down securely. Then keep them warm, evenly moist, and in the light until they germinate. Germination is usually rapid if grown correctly and in the correct season.
Start seeds indoors in early autumn or spring. Sow by scattering on the surface of sandy soil. Germinate in 1-2 weeks. Keep evenly moist & in the light until germination. Transplant 60cm apart.
