3 Cable Tracing Modes. The network toner and probe has 3 tracking modes, the digital mode, analog mode, and PoE mode, and will generate a strong, clear tone in digital or analog mode to trace a cable fast and precisely. If the cable you need to identify is plugged in a PoE switch, the PoE scan mode will make the cable tracing more precise.
Wiring Continuity Test. The NF-8209 enables you to test wiring continuity for CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6a (STP & UTP) cables, and identify open, short, cross, split, and reversed pairs faults.
Cable Length Measurement. The NF-8209 allows you to measure the length of LAN cables with a range of 2.5m - 500m fast and accurately.?
PoE Testing. It can test the information of standard PoE devices, such as POE voltage, power supply polarity, power supply mode and also the type of PSE(af or at standard). For non-standard PoE devices, it can check the device info but can not tell the type of PSE.
Port Flash & Switch Details Testing. Locates network ports by flashing port light on switches or routers, and will tell you the connected switch??£¤s info like its speed, transmitting mode , and protocol.
LCD Display. Comes with a bright and easily discernible LCD screen making it much easier to use. Any cable issues can be easily identified and tracked just from looking at the visual and well-lit tester display.
Non-contact Voltage Detection. The receiver (the tone probe) can be used as a Non-contact voltage detector to detect AC voltage presence.
Lightweight and Portable. The network toner and probe kit is lightweight and portable with a 13*7*2.8cm-sized emitter and 21*4.3*2.7cm-sized receiver, and the gross weight is about 500g.
