The deep red of the rock contrasted magnificently with the snow dusted background and the fiery dawn sky. In fact, I was so taken with the view - and so excited to share my sense of wonder about God's creation with my companion - that I didn't notice I had the wrong viewfinder attached. I thought I had framed a much tighter crop on the image than the one the camera was actually recording! It was only when I was packing up my gear that I realized my mistake. When I finally saw the processed film I was amazed. The wider viewpoint captured the scene's magnificence far better than the smaller view I had in mind."
