Frilled, fully-double flowers up to 8" across have light-yellow petals edged in pink and buff. When the flowers first open they appear magenta tinged, but this fades as the flowers age and the orange and red tints intensify. The uplifting scent is reminiscent of sweet-lemon blossoms. Upright and spreading, grows to 5' tall and 3' wide. A magnificent garden specimen and makes an excellent cut flower to float in a bowl. Blooms mid to late-season. Blossoms are nodding rather than upward-facing. Known in its original setting as 'Kinkaku' or 'Golden Pavillion'. We always sell out of this selection. First come, first served. (Henry, 1897).
