Strictly Strings is a comprehensive, individual method formulated specifically for use with beginning string orchestras. By well-known pedagogues Jacquelyn Dillon, James Kjelland, and John O'Reilly, this method has a few features that uniquely suit it for use in orchestra programs. First, it features a unique notation system that aids in the transition from rote to note. Also, versions of this method for each instrument have been carefully tuned to ensure all students progress at the same rate. Lastly, ensemble playing is introduced very early and is central to this method.
