Sunflower - Giant Russian – 10 Seeds
Helianthus annuus
This Sunflower is aptly named Giant, with enormous yellow plates of petals that make up its colossal flower. Proud winner of the tallest sunflower contest, it even provides food for the chickens once it's done blooming--a true delight for gardeners of all ages and sizes. If you're looking for a sunflower to harvest its edible seeds, Giant is the one to go for. However, be prepared to stake this single-stem variety and protect the flower heads from wind due to their weight.
Sow direct or raise seedlings in spring & early summer. Sow 10mm deep at 30cm apart. Emerge in 7-14 days at 21-30°C. Maturity in 50 days. Plant height to 200cm
