Mammoth is a type of sunflower that grows up to 3 meters high, producing large yellow flower heads up to 40cm across. It is a hungry plant and prefers fertile soil in full sun. The flowers bloom within 12-14 weeks, and the plant is useful for both producing edible seeds and attracting birds, bees, and butterflies to a garden. Mammoth sunflowers are fast-growing and a perfect variety for families with children.
Sow direct or raise seedlings in spring & early summer. Sow 10mm deep at 30cm apart. Emerge in 7-14 days at 21-30°C. Maturity in 50 days. Plant height up-to 300cm
