"All of my plants have been thriving since I started using Superthrive, but the biggest difference is in my fiddle leaf fig. A tiny leaf prompted me to buy this and the next leaf was huge after using this two times. The size different is insane!" Reece Nguyen

What is Superthrive?
It's easier to start with what it isn't. Superthrive Vitamin Solution is not a fertiliser - but if you're looking for Superthrive fertilisers, they have recently bought Dyna-Gro, so you can now get Superthrive Foliage Pro and more here >
Superthrive Vitamin Solution is a non-toxic growth and health booster you add in to your usual fertiliser routine. Imagine it like a multi-vitamin supplement you add to a complete and balanced diet to 'fill in the gaps'. Your fertiliser is your plant's complete and balanced diet.
What's in Superthrive Vitamin Solution?
It's a mix of vitamins, including vitamin B1, seaweed, plant growth hormones and more (they're understandably a bit secretive about the exact formula).
What are the benefits of Superthrive for plants?
Stress
One of the main claims is Superthrive reduces transplant stress. It's recommended to use Superthrive when you bring a new plant home to help it adjust to the change in conditions, when you repot an indoor plant, when you transplant seedlings, relocate trees, essentially anytime an indoor or outdoor plant is under stress. I expect it's the seaweed that is mainly responsible for this benefit in particular but studies have shown vitamin B1 may also play a role in plants coping with stress (Superthrive has both).
Root growth when propagating
Superthrive's other most notable benefit is for speeding up root growth in cuttings when propagating and it's likely the plant hormone NAA in Superthrive we have to thank for that, although seaweed is also known to improve root and shoot growth.
Nutrient uptake
When used with fertiliser (which is recommended), Superthrive helps roots better access and use the nutrients in your fertiliser to reduce the risk of deficiencies. Again, my guess is it's the seaweed that's got a lot to do with this one as seaweed has been shown to enhance nutrient uptake and improve growth performance in plants.
How do you use Superthrive Vitamin Solution?
Indoor plants (general maintenance)
1 drop per 1/2 cup of water (which is roughly 8 drops per 1 litre of water).
Outdoor plants (general maintenance)
1/2 a teaspoon per 4 litres of water (just under 3mls).
Seeds and bulbs (as a soak)
Soak in a solution of 3mls (1/2 a teaspoon) per 4 litres for 15 minutes (longer if advised for the particular seed / bulb).
Trees and other woody plants
General maintenance: 1/2 a teaspoon (just under 3mls) per 4 litres water.
Under stress / needing extra care: 1 teaspoon (about 5mls) per 4 litres water.
As a foliar spray on leaves: Dose as per general maintenance or stress, sprayed to both sides of leaves for maximum absorption. Best applied with a super fine spray mister.
Transplanting: Place root ball in hole filled with diluted Superthrive as per the dilution rate above, when bubbles stop, add soil and finish transplanting.
Seedlings
Keep soil moist. Use weekly or alternate weeks. 1/4 teaspoon per 4 litres.
Bare roots or the root ball
For roses: Soak for 15 to 30 minutes in 1 & 1/2 teaspoons per 19 litres water.
For trees: Soak until air bubbles cease (soak root ball and cover), in 2 tablespoons per 19 litres water.
How often do you use Superthrive Vitamin Solution?
For general maintenance, weekly to monthly as needed. Can be used with the Weekly Weakly Method. For plants under stress, provided soil / substrate needs watering, can be used as often as daily. Use fresh (within the same day of mixing).
