1. BURNER The Linear Crossfire Burner offers a great variety of standard sizes, from 90K BTU 18-inch to 270K BTU 54-inch
2. PLATE OR PAN Plates and pans come in square and circular shapes, crafted from high-quality tempered aluminum construction. They have meticulously cut weep holes to allow for proper drainage. These items are available in either 1/8" or 3/16” thickness and include a central opening for gas inlet. The size plate or pan you choose will be determined by your opening.
3. FLEX LINE & KEY VALVE KIT There are two Flex Line & Key Valve Kit options. The one you choose is dependent on the BTUs of the burner you chose. FK1 = (For Burners Below 249K BTU) FK2 = (For Burners Above 249K BTU) 4. IGNITION TYPE There are 4 main types of ignition systems.
1. Match Light Ignition - The simplest and most straightforward fire pit ignition. Simply open the gas valve, and light the burner with a lighter or long match. As default your fire pit will come as a match light fire pit.
2. Push Button Spark Ignition – Similar to firing up a grill. Simply open the gas valve, and push the button ignitor. This ignition is a great option if you want to avoid using a lighter/match.
3. Push Button Spark Ignition with Flame Sense - This ignition is the same as the Standard Push Button Spark Ignition, however, it has one added safety benefit which is a “Flame Sensing Sensor”. This is an Internal Safety Shutoff in the event a burner's flame is unexpectedly extinguished. The best part is that this system does not require external power.
4. Electronic Ignition– The Rolls Royce of fire pit ignition systems, This system allows you to turn your fire pit on/off with a click of a button. It also includes a flame-sensing feature for extra protection. Please note that depending on the BTU rating of your burner, you may need to run external power for this ignition.
5. VENTING On paper, you "need" two 18 square-inch vents on opposite ends. Not everyone does 18 square inches, however, it is highly recommended to have some sort of venting to allow cross ventilation.
6. INSTALLATION COLLARS The plate will sit about 4-5 inches below the very top of the fire pit and will need something to support it. Some folks stack bricks in the corners to hold the plate or cinder blocks. However there is an item specifically for this called support collars. All in all, they act as a shelf for the plate
7. COVER It is always recommended to cover your fire pit, at the end of the day, the fire pit is outdoors and there are elements we don't want getting in the burner. Even if you decide to use a tarp! If you aren't using the fire pit for a long period, cover it.
Warming Trends does offer nice aluminum covers. As far as the size we would need, very simply you want a 1-Inch lip around the fire pit. So for example, if your opening is 32" you would want a 34" cover. Optional Media Accessories
