OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 Certified Governed by the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile and Leather Ecology (OEKO-TEX®), the STANDARD 100 label makes it certain that every component of a product, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the product therefore is harmless for human health. The test is conducted by independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of the extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog, which is updated yearly with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements. |

Eco Wool is produced to the highest standards on local American farms; some of these standards are beyond those specified for organic materials. Eco Wool is not certified organic. At this time very little organic wool is available on the market; almost no organic wool is grown in the United States. Our Eco Wool is a blend of seven different types of wool varying from fine to coarse in order to create the most ideal wool fiber for use in bedding. Our domestically sourced natural wool is premium eco wool. |

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified An independent nonprofit, membership-led organization that sets standards under which forests and companies are certified. Their membership consists of three equally weighted chambers; environmental, economic, and social. The FSC's mission is to promote environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically prosperous management of the world's forests through a certification process that involves 10 principles and 57 criteria that apply to FSC-Certified forests around the world. FSC operates in more than 80 countries, wherever forests are present. Dunlop Latex used in HLO mattresses and toppers is FSC certified. |

UC Davis Toxicology Lab Tested All wool used in our products is tested for heavy metals through fiber sample analysis. The official report indicates: "No toxic compounds were detected . . . Growers and ranchers raise sheep relative to organic standards (do not use herbicides, pesticides or growth hormones)." Though not required by law, our mill has their wool periodically tested. |

Element Materials Technology Tested All materials at Holy Lamb Organics that have a next-to-skin use are run through a voluntary Phthalates test (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act CPSIA of 2008). This test is required by law and provides an extra assurance of quality and safety. All toppers and mattresses are required to meet cigarette burn test 1633. Verification is printed on all of our sewn-in product labels: "This Product Complies with the Federal Flammability Standard 16 CFR part 1632". |
