Our fabric supplier along with the NASA and Pureti have developed
a coated fabric that (wait for it...) reduce the pollution of the air!
We know, it sounds unbelievable, and it took us some time to understand the process, but laboratory tests show that it is really working.
See how it works:
The fabric has an invisible coating that activates when UV rays hit on it, here starts a chemical process
that converts atmosphere oxygen and water vapor into OH and O2 cleaning agents.
OH converts organic dirt and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
into mineral and returns to H2O.
O2 reduces nitrogen oxide (NOX), one of the most harmful gases present
in the atmosphere, to harmless nitrate.
According to laboratory tests, this repeated process cleans the backpack fabric and its surrounding air, reducing NOX levels by 55%.
This coating also produces an approximate reduction of dirt and mold by 60% and has a self-cleaning effect of around 70%.
