Like so many small businesses, Northern Willow was founded in April 2020 by Will Hitchmough in the midst of the first national lockdown. Will set out to create a brand offering timeless wicker storage solutions, which he created after sorting through old stuff and realising wicker baskets not only serve a multitude of uses, but also look great, even after many years.
After a long time sourcing high-quality, sustainable materials, and selecting our baskets from handmade suppliers, we launched on Etsy. With over 2500 sales, and 450 five-star reviews, we gained the confidence to launch our own website.
Our collection of handmade wicker baskets continues to grow over time, and now we stock everything from traditional gift hampers to log baskets, blanket baskets, wicker planters, Christmas decorations and more. We continue to use sustainably-sourced materials to this day, and ship all of our products in recyclable packaging.
