Refund Policy

WHAT can be returned?

All products sold by Car Dealz are covered by a minimum of 1 YEAR. Check the item description for accurate warranty information.

 

WHEN do items need to be returned by?

If returning due to a change of mind the items must not be installed and returned within 30 days of receiving. If outside the 30 day return period but before 4 months after purchase there is a 20% restocking fee and all items must be brand new. If returning for repair/replacement, goods should be returned within the warranty period. The 20% restocking fee may be higher depending on the condition and quality of the return.

Handling fee and postage fee will be incurred on Change of Mind orders if the orders have already been sent out.

 

WHERE do items need to be returned to?

Please contact us with details of the issue/return request and we will send you a return form that must be included and posted to the address on the form.

 

HOW do customers return items?

Car Dealz must first be contacted with details of the problem. If we cannot resolve with they product in your possession we will send you a return form and return number to get the goods back to us via post. Return postage expense is at purchaser's own cost.

 

Packing materials?

We may or may not need all boxes and cables back. Please check with us before returning.

 

What is the returns process period?

Once we receive goods back they are externally and internally examined to match serial numbers with what was sent to you and check if the issue is manufacturer fault, customer fault or no fault at all. The return process normally takes 1-2 weeks.

 

If I have a faulty item will Car Dealz send me a replacement then I can return the faulty item?

Unfortunately we need the unit back to inspect for damage and fault first. Often customer's will purchase a new item which we send out. Then when we receive the faulty one back as long as no fault was caused by the customer the amount on the recent purchase will be refunded by the same payment method.

Under the Australian Consumer Law, you have the right to return a product and get a refund or exchange if the product does not meet certain consumer guarantees.

  

How do I return an item?

We want you to love your Car Dealz product. We are happy to exchange or refund any part of your online order that you are not satisfied with (within 30 days, subject to terms and conditions). Car Dealz guarantees that all items sold are brand new (unless otherwise specified) and quality tested before shipment.

 

I am not sure if my vehicle needs optical fibre conversion?

We are just a car electronics online merchant, so it is impossible for us to know every car model in detail.

Please contact your mechanic to confirm before buying any of our head unit product. From ur experience, there are several car models from Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW and VW, they have a complicated stock optical fibre sound system.

Therefore, you will need to confirm with your car mechanic about how many optical fibre modules your car has before you make a purchase (e.g. TV module, disk module, optical fibre amplifier system etc.), and our operator can confirm if you will need an optical fibre conversion box, MOST optical fibre cable, audio extension cable for your installer to complete the installation work.

NOTE: We highly recommend you to consullt with your car mechanic or dealership if you unsure of whether your car has or how many optical fibre systems existed in your car. CAR DEALZ will just supply the materials needed according to your car mechanic or dealership's details, and the installation cost will basically depends on how many optical fibre system contains in your car. Please make sure you have done this due diligence check with your car mechanic/dealership before making any purchase, if not, any extra cost in materials, logistics, time spent, visit fee for installer will be incurred and CAR DEALZ has no responsibilities and liabilities to bear these.

 

Our Warranty Policy

Car Dealz products are covered by a minimum 1 year warranty from the original purchase date. All items should be 'bench tested' before installation. Although all items are quality inspected before shipping some items may be mishandled during shipping and cause failure - we pack well to minimise this risk. Car Dealz will under no circumstance cover costs associated with any installer for installation/labour costs and also postage costs. Car Dealz cover the product warranty only. 

 

Return Authorisation Form

Following any repairs or replacement you will be covered by a minimum 1 month warranty or the remainder of your new product warranty, whichever is greater. If you do find a product purchased from Car Dealz becomes faulty within 12-months of your purchase, simply send the faulty part back for repair or replacement (at our discretion) along with a completed Return Authorisation Form as supplied by us. Non-manufacture faults (neglect, improper installation, misuse or incorrect service) and consumables are not covered by this warranty. If a non-manufacturing fault is found during Car Dealz inspection, Car Delaz will request from the purchaser the repair/inspection cost plus two way postage before the product is returned. Note. The limited Car Dealz warranty is not transferable and all warranties should be handled through the original purchaser. Car Dealz reserves the right to refuse warranty in such cases.

 

Our Returns Policy

If you are not completely happy with your purchase you can return it to us, provided the following conditions are met: You must return your order within 30 days of the dispatch date. The item/s must be unused/not installed. All accessories must be returned. If the item/s have been used a restocking fee may apply following a detailed inspection of the product to ensure: The item is from Car Dealz by checking the software serial numbers with our database. Internal/external damage has not been caused due to improper installation, misuse or incorrect service.

 

When warranty is voided:

  • Goods are tampered with, disassembled, installed incorrectly or used incorrectly.
  • Damage exceeding normal wear and tear
  • Installation not performed by a professional Auto-Electrical and/or Car Audio specialist business

Who are your recommended installers?

Our selection of recommended installers is based on the services they have provided over the years. Car Dealz PTY LTD has no financial interactions with any of our recommended installers. Given that we have a suite of installation guide provided, we believe any installers including your own mechanics can install our products. If you have any enquiries, please let us know. 

If you have any installation disputes or issues with our recommended installers, which is rarely, we are happy to provide any of their details for your reference. Car Dealz PTY LTD is just a car electronics merchant that has no responsibilities of any installation disputes or issues caused by any installers.  

Making a Return

To return merchandise to our online store simply complete the Return Authorisation Form available by first emailing/messaging us with a detailed explanation of the problem and photos/videos if you think this will speed up our understanding of the problem. The completed form will need to be enclosed with your order, securely packed and posted back to the address on the Return Form provided by Car Dealz. Please ensure adequate postage is affixed, as Cash on Delivery returns will not be accepted. We also recommend you send your return back via a trackable method of postage, as Car Dealz will not be responsible for lost or missing parcels, and all goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse.

If the product is not return in this way to our provided address, additional handling fee will be incurred. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

IMPORTANT Returns without a Return Authorisation form included will be returned to at the customer's expense.

To request a return, please contact us via the email in our contact page with your name, issue, photos of the product and a detailed description of what the issue is (alongside your order number). Please allow us up to 7 business days to make a response. Depending on the issue, we will work with you to discuss a mutually agreeable resolution by means of return, replacement or refund. If there is a product fault we may choose to repair it and send back to you if the issue is minor. In some cases we can offer a full refund, however for user errors and operational errors we will discuss how to operate the product correctly, as most issues encountered are in fact user issues and are very easy to resolve (minor change to settings, how to use the product correctly) Factory faults will be amended as necessary. 

If the return request is acceptable and confirmed, we will discuss return shipping based on your case. Under some circumstances, we may issue an on the spot refund with no need for return. 

We recommend for our car head units that you seek professional assistance for installation, as issues can occur due to incorrect installation. (electrical faults, product not functioning properly) Issues caused by incorrect installation or damage due to customers using/installing the product incorrectly is on the responsibility of the buyer, and does not quality for a refund if it is damage caused by the customer or installer. We recommend to only install the units yourself if you have the correct knowledge, or feel comfortable with dealing with any issues that you may cause by incorrect installation if that occurs. If you install our head units yourself it MAY void warranty under some circumstances. If you are unsure, contact us.

Our operators are all human, please treat them with respect. If there is any impolite, harrassment or anything negative is found. Our operators should not be tolerated and they have the right to terminate the conversation and ultimately block that specific contact.
