I am a qualified sound engineer and have to say that choosing a cheap and cheerful mic that wasn’t awful quality was difficult. I found this and I am pleased to say the quality is great. It feels great and looks great bit also sounds very very reasonable indeed. Unlike the mics that are built into your phone which pick up audio from all around the device in each direction, this mic simply picks up audio from in front and reduces all other “noise”.

Brilliant for small youtube channels and new vloggers
As a new youtuber I found this mic so easy to set up, and to use. It is quite literally plug and play. It comes with all the necessary leads unlike the other similar brands and the sound quality is deffinitely better than my original smart phone mic.

Really Nice Sound
This provides really nice sound, when kept within 18 inches of the talent. Like virtually all mics, when you mount it on a camera four feet or more from the talent, you will not get very good sound. But that's just the way of mics. Caleb Pike reviewed this and stated that it has a noticeably hotter signal than the Rode Videomicro. I am pretty picky with audio, and I often will EQ to get things the way I like with various mics, but this one gives me quite good audio without EQ-ing. For being small and cheap, it has surprisingly good bass. And the upper end is crispy without being shrill. For the money, this is very nice.

As good as RODE Videomic GO
I bought this to have a smaller mic smaller rig, Canon M50 rig. I have the RODE VideoMic GO, and a few other mics. This mic is WONDERFUL. It's not powered so it doesn't have any boost settings etc, but neither does the RODE GO. I recorded the same audio with both mics and couldn't tell any difference. Honestly I couldn't tell the difference between this and one of my more expensive powered mics. My only complaint is the cord doesn't have right angles at both ends. One end has a right angle, the other is straight. Which is fine. But I took an extra cord from my rode that has right angles on both ends so I wouldn't having anything protruding. Personal preference.
