Hello Charlie's mission is helping people just like you to transition your family to more sustainable living, and to make ethical choices based on your personal values.
Hello Charlie was started back in 2004 because finding truly eco products for babies and toddlers seemed to be really difficult. Mainstream products were full of dodgy ingredients, with loads of excess packaging, and was being sold by companies that we didn’t want to support.
We wanted to make it easy to buy fully researched, safe products that are better for people and the planet.
Fast forward a few years (okay, a lot of years!) and Hello Charlie is still a passion project as well as our business. We're happy to say that there’s a lot more choice when it comes to sustainable products these days. However, with choice comes confusion. So many products claim to be eco friendly, and to be better for the environment - there’s so much greenwash that it’s really hard to tell what’s good and what’s not.
That’s why we're so careful about what we stock. Time and again our customers comment on how well researched our products are. It’s true - we ask the questions that other stores don’t.
It's why we write and publish so frequently on our blog. If one person is asking us, that means that lots of people are wondering about it, and we want to help as many people as we can. You'll find the Cheat Sheets on our blog super helpful, too. Cheat Sheets are where we take a range of products, check out all the ingredients, and let you know what's great and what's greenwash.
It's also why we put our money where our mouth is when it comes to being a truly sustainable company. We don't just talk about it - we run on 100% green power; we offset our emissions; and we are a carbon positive workforce.
We listen to our customers - if you’re not happy, we’re not happy.
All the products that we stock are tested by us here at Hello Charlie. We use them on ourselves and in our own homes, so you can be assured that you're getting the safest and best products for you and your family. We’d love to hear your thoughts and suggestions, so please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
