EQUIPMENT
Fishing Rod: Best if used with a 10’-12’ft surf rod that can withstand the weight of a fully loaded snare and ensnared crab.
Fishing Line and terminal: Heavy duty coastlock snap swivel attached to the end of fishing line. Minimum of 30-40lb test monofilament line / 60-80lb braided line. Any lighter weight line will increase the probability of the line snapping during casting or retrieval.
Fishing Reel: Medium to Large 6000-8000 Series size reels / 650-850 Series Reels depending on brand.
Bait: Use fresh Squid, Anchovies, Mackerel or Sardines for the best results.
