Thank you so much for only purchasing my work, but also wanting to take care of it! Please remember that these are unique, hand-made pieces of art - wearable soft sculpture, in a way - and should be treated with love.
For berets and beanies, there shouldn't be any major need to wash them regularly. If you get them dirty, first spot clean with a washcloth and warm soapy water. Push lightly on the embroidery without agitating as the yarn can get fuzzy with excessive friction. Dry clean if possible. If you need to fully submerge and wash, use COLD water, as wool can felt in warm water, and push on top with paper towel or a cloth.
Misshapen embroidery can be readjusted with a darning needle and gentle shaping. Please avoid pulling the threads as they can tighten in other areas.
