At pegai, we value sustainability, human rights, and fair wages.
At the same time, we also care about producing heirloom-quality, stylish products that don't cost a fortune.
We believe that these two factors don't have to be mutually exclusive.
When we first founded pegai, we found that there were mostly two main types of companies:
"fast fashion" brands that make trendy clothes, bags, and shoes using unethical practices and sweatshop labor
or expensive "luxury" brands that charge an outgrageous markup for average quality goods.
It doesn't have to be this way.
we knew that there was a need out there for quality, affordable leather products that
don't take advantage of the people who make them - while also not letting our customers go bankrupt in the process.
