Traditional saunas require a 220v electrical connection that is hardwired. You'll need a licensed electrician to connect the heater.
Can I pour water on the rocks?
Absolutely! The traditional sauna method is to start with a "dry" sauna to warm up for 10-20 minutes. Then, after a quick cool down session, you can pour some water on the rocks to create steam and go from "dry" to "wet" sauna time.
Can a barrel sauna be installed indoors?
Yes. While they are made to withstand brutal outdoor conditions, they are great indoors as well. There are two vents, one for intake by the heater, and another for exhaust up by the door. This removes the need to install custom ventilation if you put your sauna inside the house.
