We are delighted to be partnered with Physionet, a UK based charity dedicated to not only redistributing unwanted mobility aids by sending them around to world to people in need, but by going one step further to refurbish each stick before it's given a new home. With an incredible team of volunteer healthcare professionals, Physionet specialise in maintenance, refurbishment and training to ensure correct and safe use of any mobility aids they collect. Their mission? To carefully and successfully up-cycle and redistribute mobility aids to countries and communities around the world who may not have access to any kind of support or aid.
How Does it Work?
When you purchase a new walking stick or crutches from us, we will also send the necessary packaging for you to pack up and send us your old walking aid(s), which we will be hand delivering to the incredible team of volunteers at Physionet.
They will then be assessed and refurbished by their team of volunteer specialist healthcare professionals, packaged up and distributed across the globe to help millions of people who may not have access to any sort of support or aid.
Not only can this change the lives of so many people living with a disability, but it is also tackling the environmental issue caused by the disposal of these items - often left gathering dust in cupboards, in tips or worse landfill.
