Filling Your Prescriptions
When a prescription enters each of our pharmacies, we do a lot more than just dispense it.
As part of our everyday dispensing procedure, our expert pharmacists check your prescription for:
Dosage: We make sure you are receiving a dose that is both safe and effective.
Interactions: We check for interactions between other medications and medical conditions you may have to ensure your dose remains safe.
Repeats: We always check the original duplicate copy written by your doctor to ensure that prescriptions are dispensed correctly every time.
Counselling: Any information you may need to correctly and safely use your medication including dose, frequency of administration, potential adverse effects and additional therapy will always be made available to you.
We are also able to provide you with a Consumer Medicine Information leaflet (CMI) which outlines all of the important information you need to know about your medicines.
Our dispensing system is also able to provide you with a Medication Chart to help you keep track of your medications. Medication Charts are a complete list of all medications that you are taking along with their strength, dosing instructions and any other relevant information. Please note however that the Medication Chart is only able to list medicines that you have had dispensed at a Michael’s Healthcare Chemist store.
Additionally, our system keeps accurate safety net and tax records to save you the hassle of keeping receipts and manual records.
By law, prescription medication may only be dispensed following the presentation of a valid script. If you wish to have prescriptions dispensed or have questions or concerns surrounding our dispensing services, please don’t hesitate to contact one of our experienced pharmacists either by phone, email or in person at our Claremont, North Perth or Wembley stores.
Specialised Prescription Medicines
All of our pharmacies are accredited and therefore able to dispense specialised medicines such as Clozapine and Hepatitis C treatments. For more information please contact one of our experienced pharmacists either by phone, email or in person at our Claremont, North Perth or Wembley stores.
