Are LED lights brighter than fluorescent?

We all know LED lights are different from fluorescent lights and incandescent lights. This fluorescent light works on low-pressure mercury vapour discharge phenomenon which converts UV rays into visible rays with the help of phosphor coated inside the tube. Both, Mercury as well as phosphor inside the bulbs are hazardous. Broken fluorescent bulbs release some amount of mercury gas, so make sure that if this does happen, to clean it up very carefully.

Are LED lights brighter than fluorescent?

LED lights works on two-lead semiconductor light source. It is an interface between two types of semiconductor material i.e p-n junction diodes. So when an appropriate voltage is connected to the leads, the electrons can recombine with the electron holes inside the device, and after that, they emit energy as photons. Due to high lumen/watt, LED Lights are so bright

It is easy to figure out why LED Lights is much brighter than fluorescent lights as they have high lumens output which also means even through less power is being consumed the more light is being produced instead of wasting on heat emission.
