Different Dimming Types for LED Lighting

Dimmable LEDs have more benefits as compared to dimmable incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs giving energy efficient and adjusting light intensity. LEDs emit lights using dimmer will maintain the same operating system giving the full light output.

There are mainly two types of dimming: Analogue and Digital dimming

Analogue dimming mostly referred dimming in between 1-10V. While Digital dimming is when a dc voltage is sent to driver and driver dim the output in response to voltage.

PWM known as pulse width modulation requires the same LED current. PWM LED has a longer lifespan and lower temperature as compared to others. They need less on-time to give efficient output. PWM gain more popularity due to there advantages such as they give precise output level, they have creaseless dimming capability and they give better consistency in colour on different output.
