Compare Extended Life: LED Vs Other Light Source

An extended life span means lower carbon emissions. LED Lights last up to six times longer than other types of lights, cutting the requirement for frequent replacements. This results in using many lights and hence fewer resource options are needed for manufacturing processes, packaging materials and transportation.

One big difference between LED bulbs and other bulbs is that LEDs don’t just burn up and stop working once they reach the end of their lifespan. Instead, they slowly degrade, their maximum brightness getting lower and lower over time. Because of this also we can say that LEDs has more life.

When the heat gets too out of control, it can degrade the life of the Light source and even cause it to fail. LED bulbs are the same. It’s not the LEDs that get hot, but rather the circuitry underneath. It’s all squished into a small circuitry, and when that happens it can generate a lot of heat. The bulb’s base is often designed as a heat sink of sorts so it can remove that heat. In other light sources, the heat has nowhere to escape and the light source can overheat, leading to a quicker failure.

So as a Life span factor LEDs are better than other light sources. It has the capability to remove heat from a heat sink.
