The idea started at a soccer tournament for Leighton, our middle of three girls.
Our sideline gear was a little rough. The chairs were weathered and worn from years of toting them to and from practices and games, bringing them around campfires, relaxing with a garage beer after working in the yard, or even impromptu neighborhood BBQs. The wagon didn’t match anything else we had; nothing seemed to fit well in it anyway. When we remembered to bring the umbrella, it would provide shade for one person but was just some solid, generic color too.
As we looked up and down the sidelines, our gear looked like most.

TL; DR - Saw an opportunity; started a company.
My smokin’ hot wife, Alli, had the idea of something better for our sideline gear. She knew these items didn’t have to be boring and the same as everyone else’s along the sideline.
As we began to browse the internet for something that would better coordinate with our current team colors or be unique, we were left a little underwhelmed. We saw this as an opportunity to fill a void that the big box stores and other large retailers had left.
That’s when we decided to take a leap of faith and start The Last Stag. How we decided on the name is a different story.
Of course, starting a new company meant many sacrifices from our family to go all-in for this endeavor. It meant leaving a stable company with a great culture. One that we were blessed to get to work alongside friends and family each day. It meant change, lots and lots of change. It meant taking our life savings and betting on us and this idea. It meant a complete restructuring of our day-to-day life to push all the chips to the center of the table.
What was that☝️? Three poker references in one paragraph? Nice.
Our goal is to give our customers products of the highest quality and functionality. We also want to offer unique products for all sorts of outdoor activities.
Another goal is to teach our children our core values and grow closer together as a family unit through starting and building a company together.
We've started out by offering some pretty important things – backpack coolers to keep those halftime snacks fresh 😉, umbrellas that are awesome and will save you from the sun, rain, wind, etc., blankets that are soft, warm, and waterproof that double as a picnic blanket, bleacher seats that are not only comfortable and durable, but also made to stand out, wagons that are built to last, belt bags that are trendy, convenient, and perfectly-sized, and last but not least – #StagSwag because everyone needs a good tee and a sweet coozie.
We are excited about the products that are on deck too, and can't wait to share those with you!
